In 2021, we were forced to stay at homes and work remotely. Many people faced loneliness and missed office interactions. During this time, working became monotonous, and team parties/fun activities vanished for many people. Earlier, IT professionals worked for long hours for a better salary. Post-COVID lockdown, people are looking for a job to achieve a good salary sans hectic work-life.
At Publicis Sapient, the leadership understands this sentiment and encourages people to manage their work-life balance. Project managers encourage people to take regular breaks and mental day leaves. I cannot say for sure in other projects, but in my project, this scenario is frequent.
Besides that, physical team meetings are planned for special events such as office lunches, team parties, resort stays and awards ceremony. Since October 2021, my project has organized a lunch, dinner party, awards ceremony and resort vacations at year-end.
